Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
In the classroom we have recycle bins for scraps of paper & the new Smart Boards allow the teachers to use less paper. At lunch students recycle their lunch trays, milk cartoons and plastics. Ask your child how they can reduce, reuse and recycle at home, too.
Trash Free Tuesdays
It’s simple, avoid packing your child’s lunch with juice boxes and plastic bags. Instead use Tupperware & reusable water bottles. Your kids will be proud to show us their trash free lunches.
Walk to School Wednesdays
Say “no” to idling cars, save yourself the hassle of parking & get some exercise by walking to school, not only on Wednesdays, but everyday!
Ink Cartridge & Cell Phone Recycling
We earn money for our school each time you give us your used cell phones & ink cartridges. Simply put these items in the green box outside of the library.
Alkaline Batteries Recycle
We will take your used alkaline batteries to the Hyperion Safe Center where they will be recycled instead of going to a landfill and polluting our ground. Drop them off in the battery container inside the library.
